Celebrity Moms Unrealistic?

Standard

Bon Giorno;

This morning I read that celebrity make moms feel like failures….

I don’t understand this….parents do whatever it takes to keep our family safe,  nurture, listen, talk, encourage, guide, and I could go on and on.  help. If it is within our budget, we can pay for help. If not, we do it on our own. I can not stress enough not to as the expression states “Keep up with the Jones’s”……just destructive…be your own person. Read, ask for help in solving problems, when you have to, get a babysitter…if you do not have family around to lend a hand, call your local girl scout troop leader and have them recommend a babysitter…girl scouts take training in CPR and can be very helpful if in need.

Do not feel like failure…as my friend said, if you are doing it right, you should be very very tired….

Create….

Bon Giorgno!

Today, I am attending my adult daughter’s art opening.

It made me think of what is in store for the next generation of artists and musicians. How is creativity being nurtured?

Let me know what you do for your special little ones in terms of creativity…

Children can create very simply…a piece of large paper and a crayon or marker..or chalk…let them work, no rules, maybe some classical music.or background music (without lyrics)…try sitting next to your little artist and create yourself, but use your own piece of paper… use the back of the paper too unless of course you use paint and the paper needs to dry.

A 10 month old may begin by putting the art tool in their mouth, so they can do something different.

I used to put about 1 tablespoon of paint in a ziploc plastic baggie..push the air out. Your little one can then use their fingers to push the paint around in the baggie without even touching the paint…this is science and art!!!!!!

If they are playing video games, they are reacting to something already created for them.

Color outside the lines, think outside the box….(the same or different)….

If our lines are always drawn for us when we are young (especially before the age of 5) how can we learn to think outside the box…problem solve….make decisions. It is all related….

Have fun!

Everybody Needs A Nonni

Everybody Needs A Nonni. Nonni says: “Don’t Lose Yourself in your relationship.”….It is easy to do. It is easy to let your partner to make all of the decisions. Stay strong, stay true to yourself…If you have an idea, share it. If it is important to you, state it. Make things matter…Don’t be an “I don’t care”..person or an “It doesn’t matter to me”, person….

In other words, “Don’t forget your favorite color”…..Make a choice, make a decision. We’re all just people…We all make decisions based on the information we have at the time…let people know what you need. They can not tell what you need by your silence…speak…talk….listen….contribute…..

Ciao….Nonni
